A guide to your next move.
A different kind of sequence
Keep these points in mind. Moves build down in the same suit rather than allowing cross-suit destinations. Scorpion on sdrwjskj.com uses one 52-card deck with four suits. Four complete King-to-Ace runs clear the game. The tableau has seven columns.
Read the opening cards
The first three cards in each of the first four columns are face down. All cards in the last three columns are face up. Each opening column contains seven cards for a total of 49 tableau cards. Three cards remain in the stock.
Check rank and suit together
Keep these points in mind. A seven of hearts can land on an exposed eight of hearts. A seven of hearts cannot land on an eight of spades. A moved group's leading card must land on a card exactly one rank higher in the same suit. A King cannot land on another card because no higher rank exists.
Move exposed groups
A few details help explain this feature. Any face-up card can be selected together with every card beneath it. The selected cards do not need to descend in rank to travel together. The selected cards do not need to share a suit to travel together. The leading selected card still has to meet the destination rule.
Only Kings fill empty space
A few details help explain this feature. An empty column accepts a King or a group led by a King. A group led by a lower rank cannot enter an empty column. Cards beneath a moved King do not need to be in sequence. An empty column is therefore less flexible than an empty column in ordinary Spider.
Uncover another choice
A few details help explain this feature. Removing all face-up cards above a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. An exposed card can carry the cards beneath it when its own destination is legal. The next hidden card is revealed automatically. Undo restores the earlier hidden-card arrangement when the move is reversed.
The final three cards
Keep these points in mind. Dealing places a face-up card on each of the first three columns. This Scorpion version permits its stock deal when columns are empty. There are no further stock cards after the three-card deal. The stock contains one final deal of three cards.
Collect ordered runs
Keep these points in mind. Moving an unordered group does not make that group a completed sequence. A completed run must descend from King to Ace in one suit. The game removes a qualifying run automatically from the bottom of a column. All thirteen cards in a collected run must be face up.
Plan around blocked cards
Keep these points in mind. Hint lists legal choices without promising a winning continuation. A move can carry unwanted cards along with a useful leading card. Checking the whole moved group helps you anticipate what will become blocked. Replay and Undo let you explore another approach to the same layout.
Your separate local record
A few details help explain this feature. Scorpion keeps a separate saved position when game saving is enabled. My Statistics records Scorpion starts and wins separately from other variants. Privacy & Cookie Settings lets you remove local saved games and results. Random Scorpion shuffles are not advertised as guaranteed winnable.
